Selected Works

Shileta’s works explore music as a space for memory, storytelling, and community. Across concert music, media scoring, and interdisciplinary projects, her creative practice connects historical consciousness with performance, education, and public engagement.

Concert Works

All That I Am

All That I Am is a chamber work first created for Castle of Our Skins’ Black Student Union Intercollegiate Fellowship concert and later selected for New England Conservatory’s Coretta Scott King Tribute Concert. The piece reflects on identity, inheritance, and the fullness of selfhood, using intimate string textures to hold both vulnerability and strength.

Amigo

Amigo is a chamber work for string trio that began as a public concert piece through Berklee’s Society of Composers and was later selected for Berklee’s Composers Showcase. The work carries a spirit of connection, warmth, and movement, reflecting friendship, memory, and the emotional language that can live inside small ensemble writing.

Media Scoring

Guardians of Acure

Guardians of Acure is an original theme created for 1906 Edutainment Studios. The project uses music, animation, and storytelling to support health education for young students.

Entanglement

Entanglement is an original orchestral score written for a comedic short film by Willonious “King Willonious” Thatcher. The score brings together orchestral color, media scoring, and character-driven storytelling.

Interdisciplinary / Educational Projects

Alchemist Garden

Alchemist Garden is an interdisciplinary video game project developed through the Born Global Foundation. As the sole composer for the intern group, Shileta created music for a project exploring biomimicry, sound, biodiversity, and ecological imagination.

1906 Edutainment Studios Projects

Through 1906 Edutainment Studios, Shileta composed and produced music for educational entertainment projects, including health-based animated materials for school communities. This work deepened her interest in how music can support learning, storytelling, and social impact.
